not a fan of "busy".

busy. i don't like it as an answer to "how's it going?!" and i try to avoid blaming it for things. but woo wee these past few weeks have been jam packed! (which is totally different than busy...for the record.) 2 weeks ago was michigan for thanksgiving, last week was florida for work and this week is catching up on the last 2 weeks (and promising the girls i'd never leave like that again...) the last 2 weeks have provided fun, laughter, and as always, a time of growth. in my book, that's how it's supposed to be.

saw this on some blog's and thought it would be a good way to recap. that, and i'm having a hard time bringing all of my thoughts together for one cohesive post...

CURRENTLY WE ARE...

Working on: living radically as a family

b: spiritually leading our clan & global business development at a great firm

me: TRYING to become (keyword: trying) more like Jesus as a wife/mom/woman & creating/directing/managing my i-don't-know-how-i-got-this job here

f: recognizing emotions and calming herself through fits, thinking about potty training (again), cracking us up with her amazing vocabulary & retention of e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g, sharing her toys because it's kind not because someone "had it first," reading, crafting, and running around like a crazy woman

s: crawling...oh so close!, cutting 2 bottom teeth, being a bottomless pit for solids but still just ok on that bottle, laughing, exploring hilarious facial expressions, pulling herself up to stand, bringing more joy than i thought possible to our family

Thinking about: trips to warm weather spots, ways to share the gospel of good news this Christmas- and always for that matter, gifts for loved ones, annual shopping trip to the city, time management

Anticipating: Christmas morning with the 4 of us, a weekend away in new orleans for a dear friend's wedding, the end of cold weather (already?!?! i know.), what God has for us in 2012, laughing at bry/dad during our extended family time together this month (oh. yes, i did mean at, babe.)

Listening to: the baby monitor, switching from each girls' room and their differing sound machines. kinda sounds like waves on 1 and static on the other. all else is quiet :)

Drinking: water from a camelback

Wishing: for full recovery physically & emotionally from my miscarriage, health, drive to share the gospel, full presence for in-between-moments with the family, to live fully, to add to our family
